ATLVL — Privacy Policy

ATLVL ("we", "us", "our") operates the ATLVL mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

a) Account information

When you create an account we store your email address and, optionally, your display name and profile photo provided by Google or Apple sign-in.

b) Skill & learning data

• Skills you add and their status (active, paused, completed).
• AI-generated learning plans, tasks, and micro-content.
• Your check-in responses (completion, difficulty felt) and optional free-text notes ("Brain Dump").
• XP totals, achievements, and activity history.

c) Device & usage data

• Timezone — synced automatically so notifications arrive at the right time.
• FCM token — for push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
• Crash & performance data — collected by the platform (Google Play / Apple) if you opt in at the OS level.

d) Purchase data

Subscription purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We receive a subscription status and transaction identifier via RevenueCat; we do not receive or store your payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Personalized plans — your check-in history, notes, and profiling answers are sent to our AI service (powered by Anthropic Claude) to generate and adapt your learning plans.
• Gamification — XP, levels, and badges are computed from your activity data.
• Notifications — task reminders, nudges, and milestone celebrations are sent based on your schedule and preferences.
• Service improvement — aggregated, anonymized usage patterns help us improve the App.

3. Third-Party Services

Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data necessary.

4. AI Processing

Your skill data, check-in history, and notes are processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate personalized learning content. We do not use your data to train AI models. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

• Your data is retained as long as your account is active.
• When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.
• Anonymized, aggregated analytics may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) you may have the right to:

• Access your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and all associated data.
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise any of these rights, use the "Delete Account" option in the App or contact us at the address below.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: encrypted connections (TLS), row-level security on the database, and access controls on all services. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but we strive to protect your information.

8. Children's Privacy

ATLVL is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
